Four O'Clock

"When the hands tick-tock onto the four, the monkeys go home and the jabberjays come out to play."

Periodically I feel the need to intersperse all the crack comics with something Serious Business to prove that I really do understand how bleak these books are. The scene with the jabberjays in Catching Fire was one of the most upsetting to me. Everybody in the scene feels so helpless--Katniss and Finnick for obvious reasons, and Peeta, Johanna, and Beetee because they can't get them out.

(BTW, note that Finnick covers his ears when he shuts down. Sound familiar?)
